New Building

St. Paul's New Church Building

Our brand new building is open and was dedicated by Bishop of Liverpool Paul Bayes on Sunday 6th October 2019. It is difficult to put into words our gratitude for the generosity of those who have given to this project, some by way of single donations and grants and some - mainly congregation members - regularly for over 20 years. Over £1m has been raised so far - a big "thank you". We are currently in the process of learning how everything works and obtaining all of the things large and small needed to make every room do what it was designed for. There are some lovely spaces here and our real desire is to make the new St Paul's truly a Community Church Base for all of Penketh, where everyone of all ages can enjoy being together and where good things happen.

St Paul's is a wonderful place to worship God, and also offers a whole host of other facilities that complement and extend what we have at the Oaks Centre. Our aim is that it be open 7 days a week, and attract a similar weekly footfall to what the Oaks does now - above 400 people. The main hall, with space for over 200 people, has a sprung floor, flexible lighting modes and full audio-visual facilities. A spacious foyer and kitchen servery adjoins the hall. There is a small chapel/ prayer room, and another room next to the hall that can accommodate over 20 people. Two further small meeting rooms - still to fit out - are located down one of the service corridors, also comprising an office. There is underfloor heating throughout.

While all the major work, furniture and fittings has been completed, loans have been repaid, there is always something needing to be bought or done. If you are inspired by this and would like to give to the project, please get in touch or visit our donation page: https://www.give.net/stpaulspenketh.

Thank you!
